Cyberbullying

Welcome back to A Day In The Life Of The Anonymous Me!

Today I need to talk to you all about a really serious matter and that’s cyberbullying. For the last two weeks I have seen a good friend be put down on the internet and some people have said some really awful things about her. They made her so upset that she has quit Instagram and has stopped writing her blog. This is wrong…and this needs to change.

No matter what someone has done to you or no matter how much you dislike a person, you should never say cruel things to them or behind their backs. That’s stooping down to the level you are accusing them of.

Also, think about the situation through their eyes. There are always two sides to a story and one of you may not have realised you have done something to upset the other person. If you realise that you have done something wrong, apologise.

Moreover, there is one type of cyberbullying that I detest. Don’t get me wrong I hate all types of cyberbullying, but I find this type utterly disgusting. I despise people who don’t think before they speak and send other rude and unthoughtful messages online commenting on their bodies and trying to find everything negative about them.

I think people find it so easy to cyberbully because they can’t see the person they are sending the message to and therefore feel they can say more than they would say to that person in real life. This isn’t okay. If you don’t have anything positive to say to them don’t say anything at all.

If you are being bullied in any way know that there is always someone you can go to. This can be family members, friends, teachers or Childline. I am always here if you need to talk. You can contact me by email ( adayinthelifeofme@mail.com ) or by direct messaging me on Instagram ( @anonymous.teen.blog ) .

Until next time, goodbye

  1. Thank you so much for writing a post about something that affects so many people, but is never really spoken about. I don’t think it is often spoken about because people are afraid of the bullies, when actually the bullies are afraid of us. I am so sad to hear that your friend had to stop doing what she loved doing because of bullies. It isn’t fair.

  2. Nobody should stop posting online because of bullies. I don’t know if she is reading this, but if you are I’m always here to talk (just reply to this comment). It is their problem not yours. Don’t worry about it. xxxxxx

  3. Bullying isn’t cool. It’s mean. I am really sad that your friend doesn’t blog anymore and quot Instagram. No one should do something because of receiving negative comments. Thank you for writing this post. I will definitely check out the Childline website
